Make a donation now

Although much of Heights and Hill Community Council's funding comes from the New York City Department for the Aging, we rely heavily on community support to sustain our programs and provide assistance where it is needed most. Support our work throughout the year and help those in greatest need.

Gifts of Cash
The simplest way to give that is most beneficial to our programs is an unrestricted gift of cash. Click here for a contribution form. It will open in a new window so that you can easily print it out and mail it back to us.

Tribute Gifts
A thoughtful way to honor the memory of someone important to you or honor someone on a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, or significant achievement.

Bequests
A bequest in your will is a meaningful legacy for your family, friends and favorite charity. Your bequest to Heights and Hill Community Council helps ensure that the good work you supported during your lifetime will continue. Although legal consultation is always advisable before you design any type of will provision, you should know that a bequest could be simply stated as follows:

Percentage of Your Estate "I give, devise and bequeath to Heights and Hill Community Council (160 Montague St, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11201)________% of my estate."

Specific Dollar Amount
"I give, devise and bequeath to Heights and Hill Community Council (160 Montague St, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11201) $__________."

Residue of Your Estate
"All the residue of my estate, including, without limitation, real and personal property, I give, devise and bequeath to Heights and Hill Community Council (160 Montague St, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11201)." (You may also divide the residue of your estate between more than one charity and/or people.)

Transfer of Stock
Gifts of long-term securities that have risen in value since their purchase are particularly attractive under our current tax laws. Avoid all capital gains tax and the donor will receive a charitable deduction based on the stock’s fair market value. Because the donor can avoid capital gains tax, it is more advantageous to contribute appreciated securities directly to Heights and Hill Community Council rather than selling securities and donating the proceeds.

Matching Gifts
Many businesses have a matching gift program where the employer matches all or part of an employee’s gift to Heights and Hill Community Council. Check with your company to see if it is offered.
