In 1971, a group of clergy and interested community members joined
forces and created Heights and Hill Community Council with
the aim of helping to keep older neighbors fully woven into the
fabric of the community, preserving the local “small town
in the big city” feeling. Heights and Hill Community
Council is committed to improving the quality of life of older residents
of Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill, Brooklyn.
Through advocacy and various programs and services that support
and empower the elderly and their families, Heights and Hill helps
older Brooklynites to be independent and safe for as long as possible.
Heights and Hill Community Council is in direct
partnership with the community and a large network of other public
and private organizations. |
